My Hero Academia season 3
Eraser informs the Class 1-A students that they will be training for the summer break. Class 1-B is also training as well. They go to a camp in the woods. They have a good time with the Wild, Wild Pussycats, Eraser and Vlad King helping them hone their skills and push themselves to the limit to be more effective heroes.

The most recent anime that I decided to binge on is 7 Seeds. It’s a Japanese manga adapted into a Netflix original and released on June 28, 2019. Honestly, this anime took me on a slow, stomach-dropping roller coaster with cringe-worthy moments throughout the entire first part of the series.
There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but after a while, outside of the main two characters, you’ll kind of lump groups in together and you won’t wonder about them until the story brings them to the forefront of the story.
For instance, You’ll think that Arashi and Hana are the only characters that really matter. And that is true to an extent because honestly, the other characters revolve around them in some form or another. However, there are far more interesting characters that they come in contact with.
This review goes over my feelings regarding the first 12 episodes, but I will not make any major spoils because I actually think you should give it a try. The story is explained, but no major plot lines are discussed in detail.

The Story:
The 7 Seeds Project was created after solid data showed a meteorite would hit the earth, systematically break it down, and cause human life to go extinct. To combat extinction, five groups of seven people were frozen until after the cataclysm and woke up after the earth was deemed habitable again.

The subjects were taken in their sleep, frozen, and woke up separated into their groups Winter, Summer A and B, Autumn, and Spring. A few participants knew what happened, they were dubbed the guides of their group before the cataclysm began. The guides were supposed to help their groups get acclimated. It worked for some but for others, things broke down.
At its core, this story is about watching different types of people make their way to rebuilding civilization while trying to cope with feelings of loss, betrayal, abandonment, guilt, and fear.
The antagonists in this show are flushed out pretty quickly after you are introduced to them. For example, there are blatant problem causers like Yanagi and members of team Autumn. But things get a bit more convoluted when we are introduced to Summer A. Summer A includes a group of people who were trained for this specific future. The entire purpose of their group was to help the other groups find their way. However, they are so messed up from the preparation that led them to the future, that they end of seeming like more of an enemy than a help.
Why should you watch 7 Seeds?
It has interesting stories behind the conspiracy of the 7 Seed Project. One of the conspiracies is a heartbreaking story about the only fallout shelter created and used to save some of the civilization before the cataclysm began. There were great lengths taken to keep human life going underground, but unfortunately sickness and disaster strike to ruin the plan.
Another story surrounds team Summer A and the cataclysm preparation school. Summer A students were groomed to survive in the future, but the final preparation test leaves them broken and horrified before they get frozen.
We also find out who planned both of these endeavors and it makes life very uncomfortable for certain members of the group.
You’ll find 7 Seeds intriguing as you watch all of the different types of people deal with their issues and transform as a result. Some characters you don’t expect to look out for their own self-interest, some continually offer self-sacrifice, and you can see some characters crazy coming from the time you meet them.
Plus it ends with an interesting cliff hanger, which makes me want to see part two.
This episode of One Punch Man surrounds Garou the whole time. The last time we saw so much of him, he debuted his ultimate technique Fist of Flowing Water Crushing Rocks and was took down an entire gang. Unfortunately, Saitama is still playing video games, so he had no weight in this episode. But it was still an exciting entry!

We pick back up with Garou surrounded by Class A Rank heroes. He’s tired and seemly overwhelmed. But, Garou still puffs up his chest long enough to call all of the Class A Rank heroes trash and tell Death Gatling that they should call some Class S Heroes because they suck and won’t be him.
Death Gatling states that all the Class A Heroes have faced death and are “tough as hell”. Gatling feels they can beat the infamous Hero Hunter because he hand-picked everyone involved.
The group has a good run at Garou, but even while he’s poisoned and flashing back to his childhood, Garou still manages to dismantle half of the group. He uses his Fist of Flowing Water to take everyone out.
Glasses tries his hardest to make a difference in this fight, but Garou ends up being too much to handle. Glasses ends up having a mini flashback to a time when Saitama saved him and some co-workers from danger.
Apparently, Saitama gave him some encouraging words that prompted him to become a hero. However, the most heroic thing he could do before passing out was hit the distress button on his pager.
Death Gatling challenges Garou as well. Garou tries to explain there is a child nearby and his Death Shower could kill him, but Gatling has a one track mind and lets off his ultimate.
The entire area is shot to pieces except for the door that Garou protected while deflecting the Death Shower.
As a result, Gatling gets punched out easily after that.
Unfortunately, the little boy Garou protected ran away after he saw the carnage that Garou left while fighting for the monsters.
There’s just no sympathy for people with sympathy for monsters.
Genos shows up just in time to spar with Garou. Genos arrived answering the distress signal from Glasses. They have a great encounter. At one point, Garou takes on some of Watchdog Man’s technique and rips off Genos’ arm.
Garou also evolves. his hair turns red and it looks like he popped a blood vessel in his eye while trying to power up.
But, Genos has undergone some upgrades since last time he fought and traps Garou against a tree. Eventually, Genos has Garou pinned down and plans to blast him away.
Master Bang shows up and kicks Garou out of the way before the blast. Genos respects the wishes of Master Bang and Boom and lets them begin to hand the situation.
Saitama is still losing at video games to King and he’s losing miserably. They finally hear the distress call about the Hero Hunter and Saitama decides to go because he has a faint worry about Genos.
I guess he’ll show up during Master Band and Booms fight with Garou next week.
Oddly enough, this episode of One Punch man left out Speed-O-Sound Sonic’s monster cell dinner completely. We didn’t get a follow up about him or the actions he took in the previous episode. I was kind of looking forward to seeing what would come of the cooked cells.
Will they enhance Sonics powers more? Will the monster cell enhancement be moot because the potency was cooked out of it? Will Sonic’s metabolism play a part in whether or not the cells even make a difference?
We don’t find out. But, it’s still a pretty good episode.

Saitama doesn’t play a part in this episode, except that he and King are too busy playing video games to hear a distress call from the Hero Association.
Speaking of which, the Hero Association was infiltrated by a transforming monster in the previous episode. This monster brings a message from the Monster Association in the form of one of Gyoro-Gyoro’s eyeball vessels.
They propose a cease-fire and living in harmony with humans. However, that’s just a horrible joke because moments later, the monster holding Gyoro-Gyoro shoots one of the Monster Association executives dead.
In reality, the monsters want the Hero Association to send it’s best heroes to City Z, the Monster Association headquarters, to battle for complete control. They offer a rescue of the kidnapped son of the Hero Association’s financial backer.
This battle is at the request of King Orochi. The plan is to bait the Class S heroes in with the hostage and then go for the kill. While Gyoro-Gyoro explains the plan to the monsters, King Orochi starts pointing our weak monsters and eating them. Do-S is almost the next victim, but Gyoro-Gyoro vouches for her skill set.
One of the monsters at the association meeting kind of favored the Menos from Bleach. I’m just saying.
Child Emperor tries to come up with a plan of action to storm the Monster Association and save the hostage, but Metal Knight just wants to bomb everything to get rid of as much of the monsters at once. They are at an impasse when we cut away.
The news outlets report on the Monster Associations demands and as a result, the entire city is in terror.
Next, we finally get some time with Garou. He’s just waking up from the kick Saitama gave him last episode. He limps to a nearby shed to recuperate but is followed by Death Gatling and a group of other heroes.
One of those heroes kind of looked like Gohan from Dragon Ball Super. He had the same hair cut, glasses and the green jumpsuit. I’m just saying.
Garou is still very injured when he is surrounded by Death Gatling’s group of heroes. He puts up a good fight, but when the episode comes to an end, he is completely surrounded and out of options.
Before the heroes arrived, Garou was talking to the little boy who always lets him read his Heroes Almanac. So perhaps in the next episode, the little boy will step out in defense of Garou, since he doesn’t know him as a villain.
I was a little underwhelmed with the latest episode of One Punch Man. It’s for the same reason as always. As soon as I think Saitama is about to show out, he doesn’t. Don’t get me wrong, The Ultimate Dilemma set up a lot of plot information this week. But, this week I think we missed out on something that had the potential to be epic.

We pick up where The Resistance of the Strong episode left off. Suiryu on the ground half alive and Saitama looking like the savage that he is. Bakuzan is still in the arena and recognizes Saitama without his disguise on.
After a few words of banter, Bakuzan finishes hyping himself up and begins to attack Saitama. Saitama is taking his time to survey the area and notices a few fighters that he met during the tournament passed out.
Saitama takes a few punches from Bakuzan, but it does nothing to him and with one punch Bakuzan is headless. He actually loses part of his chest too.
Suiryu tries to stop Saitama from going after Gouketsu because he’s overpowered and almost killed him. This only intrigues Saitama more and he goes to find Goukestu.
Earlier I mentioned that we missed out on something epic. This is what I am referring to. The audience does not see Saitama and Goukestu’s confrontation. I guess we are supposed to assume Saitama ran up on him and punched his head off, but I highly doubt it.
Saitama has been looking for a challenge all season long. Are you trying to tell me that he wouldn’t have at least given Goukestu an opportunity to try and fight?
No way.
I did not expect Saitama to no-sell both the Dragon Level Monsters. Plus, the disrespect of not even letting us see the encounter between Goukestu and Saitama is really confusing. He’s supposed to be a former martial arts master.
Should we assume that Saitama’s inevitable confrontation with Garou will be anti-climactic as well?
Something cool did happen though. Suiryu decided he wanted to be a hero and asked to be Saitama’s apprentice!
Oh, joy!
After the events at the arena, King and Saitama run into each other on the barren streets of the city. The Monster Association has retreated to their base and Saitama starts to complain about being bored.
King actually has some very encouraging words for Saitama. They are meant to make him examine himself and understand he still has untapped potential. King is right! Goukestu confirmed that there are stronger monsters out there in the last episode. It was great, even if it was regurgitated from a manga he read.
Garou makes an appearance in this episode.
He has just finished his fight with Watchdog Man and is wounded. When he sees King, he regains some stamina and charges at him full speed. He’s so focused on King that he doesn’t see Saitama, but Saitama sees him and kicks him to the side.
This is the second time Saitama has encountered Garou and he still doesn’t realize that he is the self-proclaimed Human Monster with unmatched martial arts skills. He keeps putting him on the ground with no effort, so why would he?
Garou is left laying in a hole in the wall as a result of the kick from Saitama.
At the end of the episode, Speed-O-Sound Sonic is offered a chance to join the Monster Association by some old acquaintances. He decides to take them up on the offer so that he can rival Saitama.
I wish someone would tell these people consuming monster cells that they won’t gain ultimate power. They should know that they will still be mediocre.
Sonic decides to cook the monster cells so that they will taster better.
Smart.
In the midst of Sonic cooking monster cells, the Monster Association sends the Hero Association a message via an infected human. Monster antenna burst out of his skull and that’s fin.
We’ll see how this progresses next week.
