One Punch Man season 2 | Metal Bat (review)

The latest episode of One Punch Man kept the narrative of the hero hunting monster, Garou. Apparently, as a child, he routed for the evil monsters instead of heroes during their battles on television.

In my review for the last episode, I briefly mentioned that Garou could be misunderstood. Perhaps something happened to him and it made him turn to crime. But, I was proven wrong. He legitimately just liked monsters and wanted to be one.

Fast forward to the present day and we find out that he massacred Master Bangs dojo. So I was wrong, Garou is not turning out to be a sympathetic misguided character.

I always look for the light.

Meanwhile, Saitama is all set to enter the martial arts tournament as Charanko. He’s approached by one of Charanko’s former classmates who turns out to be a complete conceded meathead named Sour Face.

We did learn some important information about Garou. We find out that Garou was defeated and expelled by Master Bang after he went rogue. And we also find out that Sour Face quit the dojo after being defeated by Garou.

This season should be called One Punch Man: Saitama drops knowledge because once again he gave some great soul searching advice. Sour Face was in the middle of insulting Charanko because he was beaten up by Garou, but Saitama calls Charanko brave for going one on one with such a strong opponent.

Of course, Sour Face is so arrogant that he vows to defeat Charanko if they face each other in the tournament.

Back to Garou, he meets up with the little boy who owns the almanac and they discuss a few more heroes before the city issues a warning for a monster and hero fighting.

This turns out to be Class S hero, Metal Bat verses Monster Centichrono. Metal bat is giving everything he has because he’s fought Monster Centisenpai already.

Garou has no regard and challenges Metal Bat to a fight before he even finishes with Centichrono.

No regard for the 1v1.

I could be wrong, but I am still waiting on a saving grace for Garou.

As the episode ends, Metal Bat and Garou lock up.

Last weeks episode: Review: One Punch Man season 2 The Human Monster / The Hunt Begins

Sonic is getting a makeover?

The Sonic Movie trailer came out this week. Jim Carrey’s commitment to Dr. Robotnic was the only saving grace to the preview. I also appreciated hearing Coolio’s throwback Gangsta’s Paradise in the trailer, even though I failed to understand the context.

One thing that I didn’t like so much was the CGI Sonic that appeared on my screen. As a matter of fact, everyone everywhere didn’t like it. At least that’s what it seemed like after a barrage of tweets, YouTube videos and blogs like mine expressed displeasure.

Jeff Fowler, the director of the movie, had to release a statement in response to the overwhelming feedback. The good news is, Paramount Pictures and Sega are going to redesign Sonic before the movie comes out in November.

Since Fowler’s announcement, I have seen some decent fan art posted to Twitter from artists. They opted for a look closer to the cartoon we all grew up watching and playing as verses the humanoid form we see in the trailer.

Because there have been so many great suggestions on Twitter, I’m optimistic about the changes. I’m sure if the design team strays away from making Sonic look “real”, he’ll turn out better.

Destiny 2: The Revelry (Final Review)

The Revelry event is about to end next Tuesday on May 7, 2019. During my first week playing, my clan mates gave me grief for actually wanting to explore the content. They were quickly bored of the Verdant Forest and didn’t want to grind to get the exotic linear fusion rifle, the Arbalest.

I understood their frustration. However, I wanted that fusion rifle so I ended up going solo with matchmaking to finish my triumphs and get my fusion rifle. Of course, they ended up grinding anyway because that’s what Destiny players do.

We ask for things to grind for, we get things to grind for, we complain about the grind and then we complete the grind. It’s the circle of our gameplay.

Honestly, the Verdant Forest was cool. I think Bungie did a great job reusing content that should have weighed more during the Curse of Osiris DLC last year. What made the Verdant Forest better than the Haunted Forest was its uncapped level system. Allowing players to go as long as they wanted.

It may have been more exciting if there were more than five bosses depending on how many levels you completed, but I won’t complain about semantics.

My favorite part of the Revelry has to but the tonics.

I enjoy spamming grenades on enemies in PVE. Who knew!

I didn’t really go into PVP because I just didn’t, but I ended up swapping between my hunter and my warlock during the PVE activities like Gambit and Reckoning. I had the most fun on my Warlock because using the axion bolt grenade is like a mini nova bomb. Plus with Skull of Dire Ahamkara paired with the top tree of the void subclass is just fun.

I was a walking, infinite nova bomb in every activity.

And I had fun.

Sonic (2019) trailer review

Jim Carrey should hold a special place in everyone’s heart! He single-handedly made me want to see the Sonic film and I was initially not interested.

When the first images of Sonic’s CGI were released I basically knew it was going to be all bad and I wrote a whole opinion piece based on this film not needing to be live action to thrive.
Opinion: Did Sonic the Hedgehog need a live action movie?

I think I under estimated Jim Carrey. But, I appreciate what he’s going to do with this film.

I will look past all of the terrible CGI and enjoy the cheeky acting because Carrey already stole the show.

By the way, can we talk about Coolio’s Gangsters Paradise playing over the trailer?

I liked it.

I honestly know it’s going to be cheeky, but I am ready for it.

Take a look at the trailer and tell me what you think.

One Punch Man season 2 The Human Monster / The Hunt Begins (review)

So I’ve caught up on One Punch Man. We’re in season 2 and I am enjoying the anime. Things are starting off a little slow, but I can tell that they are ramping up. I’m pretty much just waiting for a pinnacle moment to take the series to another level. I’m covering episode 14 and 15 since I’m playing catch up.

The Human Monster, episode 14

We pick back up with Garou pretty much slaughtering all of the villains that the President of the Hero Association invited to a meeting to discuss a pending threat. At this point, we know that Garou wants to be considered a monster. To prove this, he massacres every villain in the room and severely injures a class A hero. We see him in a few random fights with but he knocks them out with no issue.

Meanwhile, Saitama is playing video games that he borrowed from King in the previous episodes. This leaves Genos to fight with Speed O Sound Sonic when he attacks their apartment because he doesn’t want to interrupt Saitama’s gaming.

I can appreciate that.

But the distractions don’t stop with Sonic, because Fubuki aka Blizzard comes to recruit Saitama into her ranks. She is rank 1 in class B. He resists her plan and she tries to intimidate him. But when that doesn’t work they have a brief fight encounter.

During their fight, she experienced less than a fraction of Saitama’s strength before Genos and Sonic’s fight interrupts. After which she finds out that Saitama is super strong because he knocks Sonic out with a Series Sideways Jump shock wave. And she’s drawn to him more when she realizes King and Genos call him sensei. Fubuki ends up baring her soul and telling Saitama about her plan to stay on top of Class B because Class A and Class S are too strong and her sister known as Tornado is better than her too.

I appreciate Saitama during his conversation with Fubuki. He honestly has been dropping gems to everyone he comes across so far. In episode 14 he encourages Genos to focus on getting to the top of Class S. He also encouraged King to train to be the hero he actually desires to be. He ends up doing the same thing with Fubuki. By the end of the episode, she’s enamored and becomes a part of Saitama’s group as well.

The Hunt Begins, episode 15

Saitama finally starts to catch wind of the new villain Garou and decides to investigate by talking with other heroes about their encounter with him. However, he gets sidetracked when he finds out about a tournament offering 3K in prize money.

This episode was better in regards to getting to know Garou. He’s not a likable character at all. He actually comes off a bit weird. He’s sinister at some points when he completely obliterates the Tank Top Master and his group, but then he has a moment where he’s sharing a heroes almanac with a little kid.

By the way, does anyone other than the actual monster in this show die? Because I swore Garou killed Tank Top Master, Tank Top Vegetarian, and Mumen Rider.

Especially Mumem Rider!

Garou debuted a flowing water technique and no one could combat him.

We meet Master Bang and Master Boom briefly and find out they are Garou’s sensei. Master Bang just expelled a student named Charanko to try and stop him from going in the same direction and now he wants to take down his former student. Master Bang and Boom plan to team up to eliminate Garou.

The best part of the episode is when Saitama meeting Garou. Again, he’s as oblivious as he can be because he’s focused on the tournament that he wants to join. But, in order to join a tournament, he has to impersonate Charanko. This results in him buying a wig.

Garou shows up and chops him on the shoulder, which does nothing. But when Saitama returns a chop back to Garou he’s knocked down with ease.

But why? I thought Garou was suppose to be over powered.

At this point, I have seen him decimate a gang with Fist of Flowing Water, deflect a bullet, tank a gunshot wound, and voluntarily take a sword through the hand just get the upper hand in a fight. So I’m thinking okay, here’s a real threat to Saitama.

But then during a totally random encounter, where neither one of them knew who the other was, Saitama completely punks him out. It just threw me off. I laughed but still.

Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3: Winterfell for the win (spoilers)

I watched 98% of Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3, The Long Night with my mouth slightly ajar because there were so many moments of anticipation, frustration, unbelief, and brilliance.

Last week, I was able to point out specific things that stuck out to me in my blog Game of Thrones season 8 episode 2: Daenerys we have a problem. This week I was pretty much stunned the entire episode. With that being said as always, I advise you watch the episode for yourself before reading. I won’t hit everything, but I will talk about most things.

Spoilers ahead

Initially, when the episode began I was filled with dread. In my head, everyone was going to bite the big one and then as soon as I saw Sam that pretty much confirmed he was going down first.

BUT THEN…

Melisandre showed up with her lord of light chants and lite the Dothraki swords on fire. Honestly, Melisandre played a huge roll in this war. I figured out that with her help it would be Winterfell for the win.

The Red Woman with the assist.

However, the episode actually started to ramp up and of course the Dothraki got run over by the Night King’s army of the undead and that’s all folks.

The Night King made me so mad the entire episode! In theory, Daenerys and Jon’s plan should have worked. Two dragons should be able to overwhelm one dragon dead or alive. But, the Night King decided he was going to bring a huge snow storm with him which made it easier for him to thrive on his dragon in the fight.

Did we know that he could conjure snow storms?

Eventually, the Night King fell off his dragon and hit the ground and Daenerys called out “Dracarys”!

I knew it wasn’t over but she was convincing.

Mind you the war is raging on and Sam, Jorah, Brienne, Jamie, Tormund, the Hound, Gendry, Beric, Grey Worm, and Arya are just stabbing and scratching to stay alive. I started to swell up with tears. But the best part of the fight was when Beric realized Arya was better than all of them.

Let’s stay with Arya for a moment. She shined like the beautiful butterfly assassin that she is. There’s a moment when the Hound is frozen and hopeless and Arya is tearing through the zombies. Eventually that does catch up with her though.

Okay, back to the Night King.

Jon Snow’s only mission is to kill the Night King. When he finally gets a chance the Night King initiates the biggest cheat code ever! He just raises a whole new dead army.

A WHOLE NEW ARMY!

He raised so many dead people that they started falling out of the sky. But he was too smug and that was his down fall. He finally got to Bran in the garden.

Bigger spoilers ahead

Sadly Theon Greyjoy didn’t make it. He fought brave though and I think he really redeemed himself. Jorah Mormont and Lyanna Mormont both went out in a blaze of glory. Edd died being a protector. Beric and Melisandre both played a crucial part in setting up the final act before they died.

Here’s where the Night King messed up. He was so blood thirsty to kill Bran that he missed an important another Stark.

ARYA! Arya for the win!

Arya legit blind sided the Night King and stabbed him in the heart! He broke into a million snow flakes and his army just dropped dead again! It was amazing!

I did not see that coming.

This episode was so good. I didn’t even talk about everything. I’m still trying to wrap my head around half of what I saw. I am surprised the Bran didn’t keel over after Arya stabbed the Night King. I guess that theory about them being connected is on the shelf for now.

Is the Night King really dead?

Probably.

Serious Questions:

Bran is still alive, so Cersei is next at least in Daenerys’ eyes. So will Bran be this huge cheat code to help them take Kings Landing?

Jamie is still alive, so will he flip back to Cersei’s side now that the Night King is dead? Or will he bend the knee to Daenerys?

What other threats can Bran see coming?

What about Jon and Daenerys? Does that even matter at this point

What happens next?

Tetris 99 (review)

I finally had the chance to play Tetris 99 on Nintendo Switch and I am exhausted. I also think that my brain may have almost exploded once or twice.

In a good way.

If you are not familar with Tetris 99 you should give it a try. This latest iteration of Tetris combines puzzles with the battle royale culture. So if you are a fan of Tetris in previous versions, this game type will add an extra layer for you.

It may also make you cry a little.

Tetris 99 is so unpredictable! It takes a massive amount of concentration, hand eye coordination, and fast fingers. My cousin was able to win! However, I was so stimulated that I couldn’t get past the group of 10 for a few reasons.

First, the soundtrack gets me hype every time. And when I managed a good run, the remix of Flight of the Bumblebee made me so excited that I may have made a few mistakes.

Second, whenever I would get a good combo going and make some back to back Tetris’, I would immediately get an onslaught of attacks from other player. Unfortunately when that happens, you get overwhelmed and lose.

I’m an excitable person, okay.

No, I may not have tasted victory for myself, but I was just as excited when my cousin won.

Seeing the pace that he matched up against with the other players in the lobby was insane. Again, I commend the concentration that anyone playing must have. They are seemingly unfazed by the ever rising bar on the screen that shows you are about to be attacked.

I plan on playing more and working on not getting flustered and perhaps I will win!

Opinion|Saints Row: The Third should come back

I miss Saints Row: The Third.

It was a great game and it still is. In my opinion, Saints Row the Third had a fun story line, immersive sound track, ease of game controls, the best customization, and a really well rounded player character.

Saints Row: The Third had and still has a magic to it. Volition, the developer, found that special spot of not taking itself to seriously, but still providing a compelling story for fans of the franchise. Plus, the side missions didn’t feel completely forced on you as a player. Genki Bowl was one of the best activities and sometimes the most frustrating things to do in the game.

Giving Saints Row an identity change up was the best thing they could have done. Especially since they were being compared directly to Grand Theft Auto. I personally thought Saints Row: The Third was nothing like it. Unless you want to harp on the gang turf fights, third person POV, and open-world shenanigans.

Every wheel doesn’t need to be reinvented, and Saints Row: The Third was altered enough that it felt like something new.

In my opinion, Saints Row the Third gave the player more control. I personally didn’t walk around looking like a banana, but I spent hours customizing my character. I still remember her. She had short silver hair, coco skin, and looked amazing in black! I believe I played the campaign at least 10 times just because it was so enjoyable to me.

My favorite mission involved the Third Street Saints parachuting down on to a penthouse and taking it over to make it the first main headquarters you get in Steelport! It was such a good time.

I would be happy to see a reprise of the franchise. Sure Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong, and the online allows for a lot of customization, teaming with friends, and doing missions. But, why not give Saints Row another chance?

Saints Row: The Third was my favorite game of the franchise and Nintendo is releasing it on the Nintendo Switch in May 2019. But, we’re six years removed from the last game, Saints Row: IV and I’d love to see what Johnny Gat and the crew are doing since going to space. Plus, I’m ready for a game I can just have fun with again.

Mortal Kombat 11 story (review)

I’m having a good time with Mortal Kombat 11. I am focused more on story mode, because that is what I like.

Don’t worry, I won’t spoil too much of the story. But I will give some thoughts.

The premise of the story for Mortal Kombat 11 is that Raiden is out of control and the main mastermind of villainy this time around is Kronika. She decides Raiden is doing to much and decides to turn back time to get rid of Raiden for good. This results in past and present characters colliding on the side of good and evil!

Initially, Raiden got on my nerves. But once Kronika turned back time and I met up with all of my favorite characters like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub Zero, Scorpion and Noob Saibot I was into it. Not to mention the characters that I love to hate, mainly Kano.

He’s so smug.

I will say the story gets a bit convoluted, but that’s part of the fun. You just need to pay attention. I’ve heard reports about an unnecessary grind for characters and bonus items in the Krypt, but I haven’t dabbled in that yet so I can’t speak to it.

This latest Mortal Kombat video game in story mode plays like a movie. I think if you like Mortal Kombat, you’ll enjoy this game.

The Flash S05,E19: You’re doing to much, Nora (review)

I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted after watching the latest episode of The Flash.

Of all the episodes this season, Snow Pack had the most action going on. My head almost started spinning. Barry and Iris had me in my feelings and Nora was getting on my nerves.

Well done!

All of this stuff started happening when, in theory, we needed to have a calm level head.

Spoilers below:

First of all, where did Caitlin’s dad come from? He has been no where of importance for the recent part of the season. He wasn’t even on the radar. I’m assuming he was somewhere brooding about missing his family, because the entire episode was basically him trying to turn Caitlin and her mom in to Mrs. Icicle and Killer Frost permanently. By the way, I screamed at Caitlin’s mom from my couch when Icicle was attacking her laboratory and she called out to him instead of hiding like a normal person.

Hello, he’s obviously got a devious plan here!

That gave Caitlin a fun much needs arc, but Cisco was no where to be found.

Can someone tell me why he is visiting another earth?

Anyone?

We can’t just give him plot armor for missing like that. I hope next week he comes back with answers.

Also, let’s touch on how Nora clearly did not learn her lesson. Barry threw you back into the future because you were talking to Eobard Thawne and the first thing you do is go talk to him.

Cool…

Nora did too much for me this episode. I get it. She’s back in a time where she feels unloved and out of place. But maybe she could have waited a day or two, tried to travel back, and talk it out .

I mean on the rare occasion that my parents are pissed at me, I tend to let the steam calm down before I cause more issues.

I’m just saying.

Iris did too much in this episode too. Or so I thought. Nora ended up taking the cake tonight.

Iris was clearly trying to be a mom and Nora got worse. She ended up using the negative speed force Eobard taught her and speeding off back to 2019.

I had to throw my hands in the air. I mean sure this isn’t on the same level as Barry creating Flash Point, but she is pretty close.

Now apparently next week she’s going to team with some novice baddies for whatever reason.

Girl, get it together.

I am glad the Barry and Iris made up. They’ll probably talk Nora down in the next episode.

But I have a big question.

Is this Eobard Thawne’s chance to get redemption?

Iris did say that he cared about Nora the same way Barry cares for Nora.

We’ll see.

Review: Barry Allen has achieved boss status in Godspeed (The Flash)

Gemini Man (2019) – trailer review

I’m actually interested. I saw the partial trailer on Instagram and it cut off halfway through. My immediate thought was, “Okay, so is this like Looper”?

You might remember the Bruce Willis film about time travel with Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing the younger Bruce Willis character. It came out in 2012.

BUT THEN..

I watched the full trailer in complete silence, I realized Gemini Man is not Looper. Instead of being about time travel, it’s seems to be about clones and science!

I’m interested in seeing how the visual effects come out in the final version. I’m also intrigued to see Will Smith act against himself. I mean he did an amazing job acting against no one in I Am Legend so I have high hopes!

Trailer below:

Game of Thrones season 8 episode 2: Daenerys we have a problem

I’m not surprised that there were major moments in pretty much every scene this week. But, I am only going to harp on a few because we have so much to find out with so little time.

I don’t know if this is on purpose, but I’m starting to have a real issue with Daenerys Targaryen.

spoilers ahead

Back to what I was saying about Daenerys. So I think she is rapidly losing her mind.

Why?

After all of this time of saying, “I’m nothing like my father”, she is clearly turning in to him. Why else would she freak out when she saw Jamie? I could understand if she thought he wanted to kill her for Cersei given the history. But then she gave this speech about getting revenge for her father based on the talks that she had with her brother in their younger years.

Really? You want revenge for the mad king?

Okay, let’s move past the revenge because he still killed her dad. Even if he was crazy, Daenerys would still be expected to feel some type of way when she saw Jamie.

But then Daenerys goes to talk with Sansa. They talk about love and being a team to get through this war.

What a great start!

Things fall apart when Sansa pretty much says that she expects Winterfell to be independent once Daenerys takes the Iron Throne. Daenerys seemed to have a mini meltdown. After all that talk about loving Jon and she won’t even consider it.

Very power hungry.

Lastly, Jon Snow straight up tells Daenerys that he is Aegon Targaryen. She doesn’t freak out because she’s his aunt and she’s in love with him.

I mean shouldn’t that be the issue?

No, her issue is that he is the last living male Targaryen. Luckily the White Walkers are approaching Winterfell and they didn’t have time to go over it further.

Seriously the entire episode was about relationships, trust, and love. We saw examples between Theon and Sansa, Missandei and Grey Worm, Sam and Gilly, Jamie and Brienne, and even Arya and Gendry.

Every time it was time for Daenerys to demonstrate those traits, she failed big time.

If you watch the whole episode you will see I’m right. Look at the way she treats Tyrion too.

This is just my opinion and now I have to wait a whole week. This is getting so good! I’ll see you next week.

Game of Thrones season 8 episode 1: Most shocking events

Child’s Play 2019 (trailer review)

Just when I thought I was over my childhood terrors of Charles Lee Ray, here comes a Child’s Play remake.

I just watched the trailer and it is safe to say I will be sleeping with the light on and my hands and feet will be under the covers for the foreseeable future.

The worst part about watching the new trailer, is that the Chucky doll is now connected to all the technology. Why can  he connect to smart technology?

Why the heck would you buy a doll like that?

But the thing that really creeped me out was Mark Hamills’ voice as Chucky.

It’s so creepy!

I’m going to have to torture myself this summer and go watch it just because I’m curious at how far this will go.

I’ve linked the trailer below:

Opinion: This is why we can’t have nice things (Destiny 2: Forsaken – Revelry Event)

I have a question for you. If Bungie creates a horde-like unlimited mode in Destiny 2 would you…

  • A: Play the mode as intended, kill enemies, and try to get the highest level?
  • B: Speedrun and only kill majors?
  • C: Complain that this isn’t exactly a horde mode and call it trash?

I’m only asking because B and C are the most common things that I have run into while playing the Revelry Event. Not that there is anything wrong with speed running. It’s fun to test your fireteams limits. But, I have been getting mixed reviews.

I’ve played the Verdant Forest and my main objective was to optimize my clearing power while moving as fast as possible. But, I had a jarring experience with a teammate on Tuesday.

I logged in and hopped in a fireteam with my group. After running through 40 levels we ran out of time and warped to the 5 bosses. We went back to the tower, picked up bounties from Eva Levante and my friend literally says, “I’m tired of this mode already, let’s run strikes.”

Why can’t we have nice things?

You want to stop playing the new content and go back to playing the vanilla content that you complained about when there was no new content, and now that you have that new content you find old content better?

He wanted to stop because he didn’t want to grind for “no reason”.

It just started on Tuesday and trust me if it was bad, I wouldn’t lie about it. But, even if it’s not mobs and mobs of enemies attacking you in the re-imagined Infinite Forest, it’s still an activity with new triumphs attached.R

I recently wrote about Destiny being in a good place. I still believe that.

Opinion: Destiny 2 is in a great place

The content is literally 2 days old at the time of this writing and I just wish we could enjoy the content without the salt. Destiny 2 still has so many other activities to do. Plus, a new exotic to grind for. Why dog out the content? It’s meant to be an add-on to the other options available. Plus, it’s a free update and the Verdant (infinite) Forest is pretty close to an unlimited horde mode.

I am hoping for a genuine response. How do you feel about the Revelry Event?

The Flash: Barry Allen has achieved boss status in Godspeed (review)

Am I the only one that wishes Godspeed had more screen time in this weeks episode of The Flash?

Seeing Godspeed as the main catalyst for Nora West Allen realizing her powers was cool.

with the killing of her best friend aside.

I kind of wish his character was a little more flushed out. I suppose if he became the main villain for season six, it would feel a little redundant. But, he sure looked cool.

Spoilers a head

This Godspeed episode aimed to explain how Nora West Allen linked up with Reverse Flash,
Eobard Thawne. Last episode, Barry didn’t hesitate to throw her in that cell when he found out.

That may be the most boss thing that he’s ever done. He may be a complete boss after this episode. I’ll explain why later.

Anyway, this episode we find out Nora worked on a case where an artificial speedster, Godspeed was stealing chemicals to make himself a permanent speedster.

In the process, Nora and her best friend find out that she has always been a speedster, and in fact her mother, Iris put a power dampener in her chest. We the audience found this out early in the season. But during this episode, the hurt is brand new.

Finding out her mom stopped her from being her true self, coupled with the fact that her best friend dies at the hands of Godspeed…

Literally

… Nora turns to a incarcerated, Eobard Thawne to hone her skills and get rid of Godspeed.

Here’s the thing, Barry and friends found all this information out and deduced that she was sad and lonely. Of course, Iris felt that her future self left Nora no alternative so she let her out of her cell. I can see both sides.

Iris’ guilt has her wanting to change things for her child. But, Barry is still thinking Eobard could have poisoned her mind. Both sides are understandable.

Now can we talk about how Barry Allen is a complete boss?

The best part of the night came when Barry threw Nora back into the future and left her there. He has reached a new level of intense!

That was better than throwing her in the cell. Just kicking her out of the timeline all together! I laughed and gasped at the same time!

Imaging your dad being so pissed at you that he throws you to a different timeline and tells you never to come back.

Feels bad, man.

Looking forward to next week! I expect some strain on Barry and Iris at this point because Nora and Iris just forgave each other for the power dampening situation. So, now that Barry is ready to throw her away, things may not go over so well.

Check out my previous opinion about XS aka Nora West Allen- Opinion: XS has the best story on The Flash season 5

4 shocking events in Game of Thrones season 8, episode 1

This episode set up a lot of stuff. With only 6 episodes, I’m glad we got the ball running early.

I am not going to spoil the whole episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1. However, I will say that a few spoils. Please make sure you’ve watched it before you read this.

This entire episode was a shock fest, but I’m going to list a few instances that blew me away the most and caused me the most questions.

spoilers ahead

  1. Cersei Lannister drinking wine
    • Aren’t you pregnant? That’s what you told me last season, Cersei! I get needing to wine up before getting physical with Euron Greyjoy, but let’s be consistent. Cersei is at least known for loving her children, as weird as the relationship might be. So, why would she willing to chance something happening to her unborn child.
    • Unless she said that last season in an effort to gain Tyrion’s sympathy and she’s not really pregnant.
    • I think she probably is. It felt a little too ironic when Euron said, ” I’m going to put a prince in your belly”. Cersei smerked like… too late bro!
  2. Sansa Stark vs, Daenerys Targaryen
    • I know I’m not the only one expecting Daenerys and Sansa to exchange words this season! The tension was so thick. And I’m pretty sure Sansa’s feelings about Daenerys are echoed by the citizens of the North. When she and Jon road in on their horses the crowd had a collective stank face side eye for everyone in the parade.
    • I don’t know what Daenerys thought was going to happen. You’re not from the North, and you’re not married to the King of the North so…. who are you again? At least that’s what everyone but Jon Snow is feeling right now.
    • Also, I can’t forget to mention that she told Jon that Sansa has to respect her… or. If I’m Jon then my next question is … or what?
    • Plus, she already killed Sam’s brother and father. Was she trying to threaten the same to Jon’s sister?
  3. Hinting Marriage
    • Tyrion, Davos, and Lord Varys where pretty much trying to figure out how to get the people of the North to accept Daenerys and they suggested marriage. But then, Jon and Daenerys flew off on her dragons. I think that is a hint that they will join in union of marriage. I also think that this image was a foreshadowing of how they will ride into battle verses the Night King.
  4. Samwell Tarley is blunt with Jon Snow
    • When Bran told Sam to tell Jon about his lineage, I thought we were going to have to wait as long as we did for winter to come. Surprising Sam told Jon with 5 minutes left in the episode. I think he didn’t hesitate because he is definitely pissed that Daenerys didn’t have mercy on his father and brother when they didn’t bend the knee.
    • He basically approached Jon saying, I know you wouldn’t have done that. You deserve to be King. Of course Jon is still reluctant for that title. But, Sam is over it and just tells him the truth.
    • So now the marriage situation is even more awkward. How will Jon tell her? Will she mirror Cersei and kill him for threatening her throne, even though he bent the knee to her already?

Honorable mention to Jamie Lannister on his crusade for redemption. Now he’s got to face Daenerys because he killed her dad. But, he’s only here to help so next week we’ll see if Daenerys is able to contain her rage. She’s been a little wrath-y lately.

Game of Thrones airs Sunday nights at 9 pm on HBO! I’ll be doing the same thing next week. Check back here for more thoughts.
