Nancy Drew based on one episode (CW)

After watching the first episode of Nancy Drew on the CW, I wasn’t impressed. For me, the show started off very bland. Nancy’s afternoon quickies with the neighborhood mechanic did nothing for me, and her job at the local diner didn’t add anything to her character. Plus, During Nancy’s narration, she says that she isn’t curious anymore since her mom passed, but she is. As soon as something weird happens she jumps headfirst into detective work and brings her coworkers along with her.

Watchmen (2019) based on one episode (HBO)

I turned on the first episode of Watchmen (2019) by myself. I avoided every spoiler I could so that I could take in what I assumed would be another iteration of a heroic character saving the day when all hope was lost.

What I got was a jarring, hurtful, terrifying opening sequence representing the events during the race riots in Tulsa, OK also know as Black Wallstreet in 1921. I almost turned it off.

It’s evident that no matter how “evolved” we Americans claim to be or how different times are supposed to be, moments in history like the happening in Black Wallstreet still bring hurt and pain to those who were and are still affected by injustice today.

The Flash: Dead Man Running | 6 x 03 (the CW)

In the previous episode, Barry traveled to the future in his mind with the help of Jay Garrick and saw billions of scenarios where Anti-Matter destroyed the earth. The only time the world was not destroyed was in the instance that Barry sacrificed himself.

To start this episode, Barry and Iris told Team Flash about the Monitor’s prediction and the time travel confirmation. However, instead of revealing that he has to die he just tells them that he disappears.

Dex Parios is a fun character. Sure she has her problems but her sarcasm, love for her family and friends, plus a willingness to go above and beyond to call of duty make her likable.

Opinion: Do we need the Flash adaption from DCEU?

This may sound biased, but I’ve been thinking a lot lately about The Flash. Most specifically about how the CW has portrayed Barry Allen, Iris West-Allen and the rest of Team Flash.

What do I mean?
