List | What anime should you watch? – Part 2

Watching anime is one of my favorite things to do. I watch a lot of it. I watch all types of categories. I watch the action, suspense, drama, romance, gambling, comedy, and adventure. I’m sure I’ve missed some categories, but that’s because there are so many options. Even if you are not a person who seeks out anime, there is still most likely something for you.

With this article, I aim to start an ongoing series. I am going to list seven anime’s worth catching up on, and the list will continue to grow. Feel free to list suggestions in the comment section below, especially if it’s your favorite.

This list will contain brief, simplified summaries of the shows. These will only be referring to season one of the anime. Perhaps they will pique your interest, and then you can follow them to the current episode.

An unorthodox anime about over-privileged teenagers gambling with their family fortune and status for even more money and status. One anomaly arrives to turn the status quo on its head as a gambling freak and inadvertently becomes the queen of the school.

2. MY HERO ACADEMIA

In a world where people have special powers, a boy with a heart of gold doesn’t. But on one fateful day, he meets his hero and becomes next in line to be the greatest superhero in the world.

Season 4 of My Hero Academia is ongoing.

3. PSYCHO-PASS

In a society where a supercomputer has been programmed to determine potential threats and deploy forces to eliminate crime before it happens, a mousey detective and her dogs question if artificial intelligence should be responsible for the fate of the country. Are people tricking the system? Are people wrongly imprisoned? Is artificial intelligence compromised?

Season 3 of Psycho-Pass is available now.

4. SWORD ART ONLINE

After a mentally unstable game developer abducts the minds of millions in an MMO RPG using the games headgear, one overpowered beta player must reach the final boss to save other players who haven’t fallen victim to death in the game.

5. BUNGOU STRAY DOGS

An orphaned boy with a supernatural animal spirit tethered to him finds a home with a group full of people who have supernatural powers. He adopts their mission to rid the world of an evil syndicate.

6. ONE PUNCH MAN

In a world where monsters are a regular sight, one man trains so hard that he loses his hair and becomes the strongest hero in the world. Will he ever meet his match?

Season 1 and 2 of One Punch Man is available now.

7. ATTACK ON TITAN

After tragedy strikes, a group of friends joins the military in an effort to fight a significant threat. Little do they know, some conspiracies run deep through the government and family that runs it.
