Mortal Kombat 11 story (review)

I’m having a good time with Mortal Kombat 11. I am focused more on story mode, because that is what I like.

Don’t worry, I won’t spoil too much of the story. But I will give some thoughts.

The premise of the story for Mortal Kombat 11 is that Raiden is out of control and the main mastermind of villainy this time around is Kronika. She decides Raiden is doing to much and decides to turn back time to get rid of Raiden for good. This results in past and present characters colliding on the side of good and evil!

Initially, Raiden got on my nerves. But once Kronika turned back time and I met up with all of my favorite characters like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub Zero, Scorpion and Noob Saibot I was into it. Not to mention the characters that I love to hate, mainly Kano.

He’s so smug.

I will say the story gets a bit convoluted, but that’s part of the fun. You just need to pay attention. I’ve heard reports about an unnecessary grind for characters and bonus items in the Krypt, but I haven’t dabbled in that yet so I can’t speak to it.

This latest Mortal Kombat video game in story mode plays like a movie. I think if you like Mortal Kombat, you’ll enjoy this game.
